We are moving to Wilmington at the end of May. I'm going to miss the people I'm around now, but I can't wait to see what opportunities are in store for me there.

Fun in the Sun at the Mosier Wedding
I had the opportunity to photograph this lovely couple and their friends and family last weekend on their special day. I had a wonderful time and enjoyed catching laughs, smiles and memories that they can look back on from now on. Congratulations guys! I wish you the best and can't wait to shoot my next wedding!

Sophie - Then & Now
When I first got Sophie I always found her opening doors and cabinet drawers. I don't know what it is about them, but she loves anything that will open. We have to make sure we or anyone who visits shuts the door good when they come or go because Sophie is the expert at opening things and finding her way in...or out. It used to crack me up the way she'd figure out how to open things when she was little.
I guess old habits never die. She is a lot bigger now, but she still knows how to open things and find new hiding spots. Its always a game trying to find the cats before we leave to make sure they aren't stuck anywhere or hiding somewhere they shouldn't be. I love my silly smart cats.

Dog Sitting....I just love it.
Here are some things these pups and I spent our time doing while their parents were on vacation last time. We had a blast. :)
We chatted a lot...
We played ball...
We slept in pillow forts...
We celebrated my birthday!..
We played fetch...
We played tug-o-war...
We got kisses.
My Brother Got Hitched!
So, my oldest baby brother got married back in November 2012. Its crazy to think of how much time has passed and how different things are since we've "grown up." It seems like yesterday we were staying with our grandparents, running through the house, jumping on beds with cap guns and playing "cops and robbers." I nearly cried at his wedding like a mother to see him go off and start his own life, but I am grateful he found someone as sweet as his new wife and someone he loves so much. Welcome to the family, Lalita! :) I wish them the best in their life together.
With love and reminiscence,
B
Christmas in....February?? Haha
Happy Late Holidays! Oops!
Hi Everyone!
I've been so busy with work I've gotten behind on updating my blog. I've been taking photos - I just haven't been able to post them. So, with that said, here are some photos from the past few months I've been away. We'll start with my Christmas babies above, Sophie (top) and Punky. I don't know what I'd do without these two crazy cats. They are the best company sometimes!
Stay on the lookout for more updates soon.
Til then,
Brandi

I Miss Film...and School...
I found these on my flickr account today and decided to upload them to my blog. Its been a while since I've worked with any film...and I realize now that I miss it. I miss the sounds of a film camera - the winding of the film, the click of the button. I miss the smell of developer on my hands and absence of light in the darkroom. I even miss standing by the Colex machine warming my hands and waiting for my print to come out - which felt like a lifetime while working on assignments. It must be a day for reminiscing. It feels hard not to today.

Thom Filicia from Queer Eye for the Straight Guy
I shot this back in April at the Architectural Digest Magazine Party 2012. I'm waiting to post the other photos, but was told by a friend that this was Thom Filicia. He was in Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and is currently an interior designer. I was on assignment at the time and had no idea who either of these two were. I was just doing my job and documenting the event. Unfortunately I never learned the guy on the right's name. It wasn't until my friend looked at my shots that I learned the one on the left is Thom...and even then I didn't know who he was. Thanks to her I know now that I'm not too in tune with the celebrity world. I hope I wasn't too rude after a long night of taking photos in a giant crowd when two random guys came up and asked me to take their photo. Haha. I think maybe I should start watching more TV. Oops. Sorry guys!
